Me & The Chad

Hello to All!

I’m Mary, a twenty-something professional who loves to explore new places.  Luckily, I found a career that allows me to travel to new locations every 3 months with my husband and dog, Kerbey. This blog is about my journey as a traveler while attempting to lead a more simplified, healthy life and always keeping it real.

The Details:

I’m a traveling occupational therapist (OT). I’ll be turning 30 this year and I’m lucky enough to be married to my highschool sweetheart who is able to travel around the country with me and our dog. We plan to see as much of the country as possible before settling down. We’re originally from Southwest Louisiana and we are huge New Orleans Saints fans!

So What’s the Blog About? In order to start traveling, we had to modify how we were living-only taking with us items that could easily fit into our small car and selling or storing the rest. As we began our journey in a semi-nomadic lifestyle, I’m trying my best to eat healthfully and live sustainably while making the most of our short stays in each location.

  1. You are my happiness, free-spirited inspiration. You keep your eyes open and have a genuine appetite for your life that keeps me hungry for adventure through you -even when we aren’t so lucky to live three hours away. Thank you for always being someone who has taught me to burn that beautiful candle now or it will end up melting in the attic.

  2. Sweet blog, Mary! Thank you so much for the link to my blog! I am truly flattered that you have designated my page to define occupational therapy. If you ever get to San Antonio – let’s try to meet!

    • Thanks! I loved your explanation of OT, your use of the word “revive”, and the compare/contrast with PT. Your page perfectly sums up the OT experience and I was excited to find it out there!

  4. Hi Mary,
I wanted to know if it was ok to ask you which OT traveling agency you work with? and what your experience has been with them.
I’m in OT school and I’m pretty sure I want to do some travel jobs before settling down.
    Any tips or reccomendations?
